The Asakusa Kannon Temple, or Senso-ji, is the oldest temple in Tokyo.

The two young women were "dressed up" in kimonos. I knew that the routine use of kimonos had dropped sharply over the past 50 years, but I was surprised to see many shops that rented out kimonos to wear as a costume. The shops will not only rent the costume, but help to put on the kimono and tie the obi properly, as well as taking photos of the renter.
