Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken on a day trip to the South Grand Canyon in June 2017. It just felt right....after the 30th or 40th capture.

Time

It was taken at about 2pm after a day trekking the southern rim.

Lighting

Bright midday, little cloud

Equipment

iPhone 6

Inspiration

First trip to the Grand Canyon. Pure awe!!!

Editing

I increased the saturation mildly and reduced the exposure to capture the depth of the canyon.

In my camera bag

Canon EOS 4D and EOS500 Canon EF-S 24mm F2.8 STM Canon EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 III Lens Canon RF 35mm F1.8 IS STM Macro Canon EF 135mm f/2L USM Lens Hoya Polarising Filters iPhone 6

Feedback

I see what I like and I photograph it. If it feels right its probably going to be a great shot. I take a number of similar shots and play with the proportions of the image to find the most pleasing one.
