The "Decay" series has developed into kind of a passion project of mine. My usual work focusses quite a lot on wildlife and some landscapes and macro, but every now and then I come across one of these fascinating scenes of old structures, usually made of wood. I am absolutely fascinated by the textures showing the decades of wear and tear and the subjection of the material to the elements. I have no idea what the story of these poles is, but clearly they have a lot of history! I came across them a while ago and immediately saw the picture I wanted to take in my mind, but the light wasn't right, so I had to come back at a later point to take this image.

Taken at Torslandaviken near Gothenburg, Sweden.

I haven't posted in a while as I was quite busy with the end of the semester at uni and now temporarily moving from Sweden back to Germany (there's a big change ahead). But now I finally have a little time to post some images.
