Couple of weeks ago, I visited my parents and came back to the otters, unfortunately to learn that the female (Lili) had passed away in early spring as she had kidney stones and cancer. Here you see Anton, the male. These otters were what got me into photography and especially into thinking how to display nature as beautiful as possible instead of just documenting what I see. Thinking about angles, getting down onto the same level as the object and finding the background and light that looks best. It is also fascinating for me to go back to my old otter pictures and see how I improved and developed my style. No other subject in photography has ever fascinated me as much as these otters!
