In 2014 I attended a 50th anniversary celebration of the Ford Mustang. The event was help at the Motor Speedway outside of Las Vegas, Nevada. After finishing the Mustang celebrations I went into Las Vegas to see what adventures I could find. I discovered there was a Rock-a-Billy gathering at the Orleans Casino. I must admit, I found this event much more fun than the Mustangs at the Raceway. I plan to attend another Rock-a-Billy event with more time so I can enjoy all there is to see and do. I love old cars but I am not that guy who can identify them all. So if you know what this car is please share your knowledge with us.

Looks like fun !
I believe this is a 1956 Ford Fairlane Victoria coupe with customized headlight bezels.
The 1990 movie The Adventures of Ford Fairlane starred Andrew Dice Clay and his 1957 coupe. The '57 had a much longer trunk and significantly larger, more angular, tail fins.
The 4 door versions of these cars were used as a police vehicles and taxi cabs, later becoming known as the Crown Victoria.
The Crown Victoria Police Interceptor was the most popular police car used in US history. The "Interceptor" came "beefed-up" with a larger engine, heavy duty brakes, radiator and alternator. The final "Crown Vic" rolled off the assembly line in April, 2011
Hope this helps, and, hope you had fun strolling down memory lane.

It was great fun seeing all the old vehicles and the folks with such stron passions for a bygone era. A buddy and I are planning to attend the entire Rock-a-Billy event next year. I will go more prepared to capture the sights. My father would have known all the vehicles, year, make, model, and a bunch of trivia about each. much like you. Good on you Forrest. thanks for all the wonderful info.
