Location

I was on a rice boat river trip in Goa/Karnataka, Silver linings: I have Hypermobile Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, which has given me pain and disabilities, travelling is difficult but an important part of my life is travelling and photography. In the hours leading up to this Sunrise, I'd dislocated my elbow and couldn't sleep, I saw the light starting to increase through the blinds and thought I'd get up, as dawn approached, I grabbed my camera and was eventually met by the most exotic and breathtaking sunrise I've ever witnessed!If it wasn't for my chronic pain and disability, I might have slept through and missed this. I also managed to film a 7 foot Crocodile casually swimming down river just after too.

The natural light, the humidity and haze were a boon for this shot as the sun roze above the Western Ghats.

Inspiration

It was breathtaking and a synonymous Asian river scene with the traditional fishing rigs with the Mountains in the background

Editing

Absolutely none, I managed to set speed and apature perfectly to capture the colours as seen by the naked eye
