Another one of the gorgeous, though all too few and far between Hedgehog cacti around Big Bend. As you can see, there are Oak Leaves on the ground. We are on the way up to Emory Peak in the Chisos mountains. This one was about halfway up to the peak and was in a small plateau valley area with grasses, ferns, oaks, pines and more cacti, all living together peacefully.
