I planned my visit for the morning high tide, but got lucky with the bright sunlight. I think it was well worth the subway, train, ferry, and walk to capture this image.

The O-Torii or "Great Torii" is the symbol of Miyajima. It's the entrance to the Itsukushima Shrine, first built late in the 12th Century.
