This was a bizarre, almost surreal, fairly unnerving scene to stumble upon in center Philly. The "crashed" plane seems to be a fixed object, a sculpture, perhaps, but the fire department and the man in the suit taking notes on the sidelines took it to other levels, as did the chemical shower-looking thing to the left, which had dark handprints on it. The whole sight was eyebrow-raising, but I only snapped this picture discreetly as my friends as I walked by on our way to a restaurant. Looking at the picture later, it does look as though the men are talking to someone seated on a bench in front of the plane -- completely irrelevant to the location, probably. The purpose of the chemical shower, and what caused those handprints, does still trouble me somewhat.
If anyone has any insight as to what the heck is actually going on here, I'd love to hear it. This photograph was taken on March 21st, 2017.
