Lenticular clouds form frequently over the 13,000-ft Truchas Peaks of Northern New Mexico. These peaks, about six miles from my front door, are part of the Sangre de Cristos at the Southern end of the Rocky Mountains. This image was shot with a hand-held Canon EOS 5D converted to 715 nm infra-red. The lens was a Canon 50 mm, f-1.4. Settings were ISO 400, f-11 at 1-500. Camera RAW processing was done using Photoshop CS6.
