Location
This shot was taken in my backyard in Tennessee. I have created my own bird sanctuary on my property to attract birds, butterflies and hummingbirds throughout the yearTime
This was early afternoon on a snowy winter dry. Clear blue skies, bright sun.Lighting
I prefer natural lighting, probably why my shots are 90% nature. I also invested in a camera that does great low light photography.Equipment
This was with my Canon 70D, handheld. No flash.Inspiration
I sprinkled birdseed all over the snow, sat back about 15 feet away and waited. It was a great photo opportunity,Editing
Some slight cropping was done on this photo. In my camera bag
My camera of choice currently is a Canon 70D. I started 8 years ago and stayed with Canon. Believe it or not I love my 55-250mm kit lens. Most of my lenses are Tamron. One item I love having in my bag is a lens cleaning kit for glasses, a definite must in your bag.Feedback
Having patience is the number one skill. This little guy just gave me this sassy little stare. Throw out a handful of birdseed and see what happens Sit back and be ready.
