My friend Hank Blum and I decided to shoot the lunar eclipse which is also a supermoon and a blood moon from Shiprock, New Mexico. A 2 AM wake-up call and 2 hour drive was all worth the effort when the moon perfectly placed itself behind Shiprock. I knew exactly where to position ourselves by using the PhotoPills app. What an amazing event to photograph!
