Location
The photo was taken in Door County, Wisconsin. We were exploring the small towns looking for unique photo opportunities.Time
It was an overcast October afternoon.Lighting
It was an overcast afternoon, and at the time of this photo the sun cleared through the clouds which provided a natural spotlight.Equipment
I was using my new Sony A57 with a Sony 4.5-5.6/55-300 lens with auto settings, and no other equipment.Inspiration
As we were driving along the road, we spotted a field of sunflowers and decided to stop for some photos. After a few minutes the sun broke through the clouds, briefly provoding light that made the yellow and blues pop.Editing
The only processing I did was to crop the photo to tighten in on the subject. In my camera bag
I have a Sony 3.5-5.6/18-55 lens an extra battery and a tripod.Feedback
Be patient and be ready for when the light changes, you may not always get it the first time.
