Stunning photo. The position of the net caught in the air is spectacular!

Have been on the Li River twice when adopting children from China.. An awe-inspiring experience but nothing compared to what you have captured here. I have no words!!!

Location
This photo was taken by the Li River in Yangshuo town, China.Time
It was getting dark already with some last light still available.Lighting
The lighting was sort of dull as it was cloudy so there isn't dramatic lighting on the peaks for instance despite it was sunset. But in fact, here it worked to my advantage as it allowed me to focus viewers attention on the fisherman himself. Reflecting light in the water in front of him helps with that too.Equipment
I used a Canon 5D MK IV with a wide angle lens (16 - 35 mm). I was shooting handheld. No flash or filters were used.Inspiration
I had dreamt of travelling to the Li River area in China for years. I first saw photos of it in some travel magazine and since then I wanted to photograph those famous cormorant fishermen.Editing
Post-processing, entirely done in Lightroom, involved making the colours even warmer by adjusting the white balance and making the darkest parts of the image brighter by opening up the shadows. I also increased contrast a bit.In my camera bag
Normally, I have Canon 5D MK IV with me + backup camera, several lenses (ultra-wide angle, standard zoom and tele lens), a tripod, several filters, a lot of spare memory cards and batteries.Feedback
First of all - be patient. Taking such photo requires a lot of it as capturing the perfect moment isn't easy. Also, make sure to use burst mode in your camera to increase your chances.
