Does not take much to inspire me to shoot something or anything. I think it was the texture and patterns of overlapping leaves.Editing
When I first looked at the original I was not very impressed. But as usual I turned down the highlights, turned up the shadows and added a little color saturation. What really made this image was the cropping.In my camera bag
Bag? More like bags. The situation and activity will determine the equipment. If out hunting in the woods I cannot take a lot of photo and hunting gear so I take just my Nikon S9900 in a belt pouch with 3 extra batteries and a microfiber cleaning cloth. I have a Nikon D3200 with 18-55, 55-300, remote and 2 extra batteries. I recently picked up a Canon 70Dwith a 10-18mm, 40mm macro, 50mm and a 55-250, remote and 2 extra batteries. I used to shoot Minolta 35mm film and keep adapters in each bag to use my 100-300 with a 2x adapter, my 50mm macro with bellows. If out hiking I will load up a fishing vest and course in each I keep cleaning equipment. Have several tripods and often use my hunting shooting stick for a little extra stability in low light situations. While hiking I will wear my camera on snug strap to keep the camera from swayingFeedback
Don't shoot for the pleasure of others, shoot for what pleases you. (Unless you're a professional and shooting things like weddings of people you don't know. Even then you should take pleasure in pleasing others)
