Behind The Lens

Location

This image was taken at Emely Griffith opportunity School. I did this photo session pro bono. The students put a lot of work into the make-up and needed someone to be a photographer. It was me.

Time

The time was around 7 pm in the evening.

Lighting

Nothing to fancy with the lighting. 2 strobe and a soft box.

Equipment

The camera I use is the Canon 6D, 24mm-105mm wide angle, 2 strobes.

Inspiration

The inspiration came about by Tim Burton

Editing

Not a lot, I added the wings to the image.

In my camera bag

In my bag, I carrie an 50mm prime, 85mm prime, a Macro, a 24mm-105 mm and a 70mm-200mm 3 speed lights and a small soft box

Feedback

The advice I have is to stay simple with the lighting. Bring along some interesting propers to make sure your image stands out. If you have a vision on what the image should look like, then believe in yourself. And of course have fun with all involved.
