Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in one of favorite places the National Arboretum in Washington DC. a place full of nature.

Time

I diced to go go to that park to get and explore the autumn season with something in mind as any other photographers, but most of the time you dont get it, speciallly that day because I got pretty late to that place about two hours before the close, turn out that wasn't enough time because they do close at 5:00 pm. I went back finding the exit and then a saw a little tree with those colorful leaves and then I did the check my settings on my camera and took a few photos just before they kick me out, it was 4:55 pm.

Lighting

Light is the key in photography but it depends on each photographer and also the type of photography, to me you just need to go out and experiemnt with all kind of light, this was taken in sunset hour but it was over cast, that's why I had to increase the ISO.

Equipment

Canon EOS 750D and prime lens 50mm 1.8

Inspiration

The inspiration it just come in that moment trying to find the photo of day , after a few hour that I didn't get the a good photo. Also I was inspired by the colors of the leaves and the prime lens blurry effect.

Editing

This is a single shot and just did a little bit post processing in Light room with the basic as shadows, light, white balance, exposure, highlights. etc. I do like my photos to look real and not to over edited them.

In my camera bag

I dont really dont want to carry a heavy bag so most of the times when I go out, I have to make sure that I have my battery is full charged and two extra ones, also a memory card and then of course my Canon EOS 750D plus my 18mm-270mm and a prime lens 50mm 1.8.

Feedback

The advice that I can give to anyone is that you need to shoot in or out, play with the light, shadows, random things and find beauty in ordinary things, play with the settings, but if you want to get some similar like the one I took, just need to put the lowest aperture 1.8 lowest that that if have one in that case you can the blurry effect and don't forget to chose your shutter speed the fastest the better will be.
