One of countless beautiful vistas in Bhutan, be it in the low elevations or multi thousand meter elevations. The winding rivers in the valleys are amazing to rest your eyes on from afar – winding like dragons through the lush and rugged terrain. The short lived moments of the dawn painting everything in the softest and warmest of tones makes it all magical.

More often than not these dragons remain a distant wonder as getting to them is a trek all on its own. Finding the local trails leading down to them can sometimes be difficult, but even then, the hike is hard and time-consuming. If the terrain allows for it, a road may pass close by, but even then the slopes are so steep, unstable and sometimes overgrown that you just stay on the road as I am here, enjoying the moment of silence, soft tones and the sounds of countless bird species flowing with the wind.
