During my visit to one of Shinto's most important sites, sun rays beamed through the forest canopy. It was a very peaceful morning before crowds showed up.
One of Shinto core tenets is that spirits reside in natural forms such as trees, rocks, mountains, water, etc. This is something that resonates with me strongly, as I too have felt energetic forces while in nature.
As I wandered the grounds I came across this scene, and felt it was just so perfect.
