Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken on a weekend escape into the mountains with my two best friends Ricketts Glen Park is a waterfall treasure chest. Located in Pa, it is a loop hike with 20+ waterfalls.

Time

We headed out in the morning and started the hike. This was over half way thru. We had a fine mist and trickle rain the whole day so the lighting was perfect for photography.

Lighting

Fall is the perfect time to practice landscape photography. This was late fall, I thought we missed all the splendor. This is proof there is beauty all around if you just take a minute to look.

Equipment

I shoot with a Sony a 290 and I used a 75/300 lens. I did not take my tripod cause I didn't want extra weight while hiking. Instead, I used the rocks around me to stabilize.

Inspiration

I was truly in awe of all the beauty around me and thought I needed to capture one perfect moment from this trip and I did.

Editing

I use photoshop elements to edit my photos. Not much really needed to be done with this, it was naturally perfect as it was.

In my camera bag

I always keep extra batteries, polarizing filter, macro lens, kit lens and my 75/300 lens with me. I never know what will inspire me.

Feedback

I would say to not give up cause you think that the season has passed or it isnt a perfect sunny day. Take a minute, breathe and look around. You might be amazed at what you find!
