The raft is actually sailing, but this was shot in daylight and 'Lightroomed'. I was thinking about how we used to develop a photograph in the darkroom, the developer, the fixer and etc, but how part of development was done in the enlarger, dodging ,burning etc. People like Ansel Adams used the whole process to produce the final image and he started from choosing the components of the scene, visualised how it would look in its finished state even before he clicked the shutter. So I develop my images still, and see nothing wonderful about photographers who make a fetish of 'straight out of the camera' as though that is so much closer to original pristine photography. Never was so.

I wholly agree with your philosophy. It all starts with a well planned (or lucky) shot, and the post processing simply enhances the photo, or plays with the creative aspects of it. We have only gone digital. And I know that you can ravage a great photo with processing, just as well...or so I’ve heard (????)...so it all lies in the skill and creativity of the photographer. Love this rendering!!! Keep on with your creative self!!!????
