I was only able to capture a handful of meteors during this year’s Perseid Meteor Shower. The waning gibbous moon was at about 78% and washed out most of the visible falling stars. It’s crazy how much of a difference the moon’s light makes on observing other objects in the sky. Off in the distance there was a crazy storm going on with lightning flashing every 10 seconds or so. This went on throughout the whole night so this show mixed with the meteors was still worth it. The red hue is caused by a car's brake lights.
