This was taken the night before the solar eclipse. The city of John Day was in the path of totality and I knew I wanted to come here for an interesting foreground since I don't have a telephoto lens. It was dark, quiet and peaceful. Nothing like what sunrise would bring as hundreds of people swarmed this spot looking for a good viewpoint.
