Delta Junction lies in the heart of Alaska's fertile Tanana Valley. Numerous farms dot the countryside. Here, a farmer is baling hay. Other crops in the region include potatoes, cabbage, corn, zucchini, and carrots. Livestock raised in the Tanana Valley include cattle, buffalo, elk, and pigs. Delta also boasts a dairy, which produces the most wonderful ice cream.
