Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken at Crawford Notch State Park in the White Mountains of New Hampshire

Time

The photo was taken sometime between 3:00-5:00 pm in the afternoon.

Lighting

This was all natural light. There is no enhancement at all in this picture. It was a beautiful clear day with some clouds over head just to enhance the picture. What you see is what you get.

Equipment

I used a Sony A6000 mirror less camera with a 16-50 mm lens, hand held, and a uv filter. The camera was set on automatic.

Inspiration

I saw a really nice serene picturesque view from where I was standing and I said to my self oh yes, man is this pretty, so I aimed, got the view I was looking for and snapped.

Editing

As I said above, this picture is all natural. No enhancement at all. This is an example of what natural photography looked like before photoshop was invented.

In my camera bag

I normally carry the camera with the 16-50 lens and I also use the Sony 55-210 mm zoom lens. Because this is a mirror less camera it eats up battery fast so I normally carry 2 extra batteries. I also carry a circular polarizing filter, which I did not have with me at the time I took the above picture.

Feedback

Yes, seek and you shall find. As you travel around where ever you are, locally in your home town or on some fancy or not so fancy vacation, keep your eyes open. Look and observe your surroundings. Say to yourself, is that scene interesting to me? If it attracts me well maybe it will attract some one else, so go ahead and snap away. As I am making an example in the above picture, one does not need to be a professional photographer with thousands of dollars of fancy equipment and spend hours with photoshop to capture a good picture.
