Wow Jozi! Love the mid-step and the eyes straight on. Clarity is awesome.

Location
This was taken while on Safari in the Sabi Sands Game Reserve at Londolozi,South Africa. Piva is a male leopard who was walking along the sand road towards our vehicleTime
This was taken during the early morning game drive on a cloudy morning and was fortunate to be ahead of the leopard and be in a postion to photograph him face onLighting
This was a cloudy morning which helped create the soft light for this photo .Equipment
This was taken from the landrover and leaning a little outside to get as close to possible to be eye level with the leopard using a canon 5d Mk III camera and a canon 500mm lens f/4.0 hand held no flash f/4.0 1/500s iso 125Inspiration
I love leopards and this one was in the rare circumstance having the leopard walk towards us and able to almost eye level with the animal !Editing
Always do some post processing .in this case used photoshop elements and cropped it a little and added some sharpeningIn my camera bag
This depends on where I am photographing. For this photo and currently when i go on safari i take 3 camera bodies -canon 7d Mk ii canon 500mm lens and usually with a 1.4 x extender for birds, canon 1dx Mk II with a canon 200-400mm lens for animals and canon 1dx with a 70-200mm lens for landscapes and animals when they are very close and do not get delayed by having to change lenses on the landrover.Feedback
The best advice is always to check settings when you start out on themorning drive as mostly likely your settings are on the previous days last drive which was a night drive and then takes as many photos as you can as you can always just delete them and be out there
