Location
Lake Clark National Park ,AlaskaTime
This was taken late morning while Alaskan Brown Bears were crossing a streamLighting
The lighting was really quite good in bright sunshine ,a blue sky and late morning before the more harsh light of midday.Equipment
Canon 1dx,canon 200-400 mm lens ,hand held and no flashInspiration
We were in Lake Clark National Park ,Alaska for the purpose of photographing bears and were fortunately in good position in great light when the Alaskan Brown Bear Sow decided to do a river crossing and the one cub of 5 months crossed bi itself. It the other climbed on moms backEditing
Yes very little cropping, some sharpening and mild color enhancementIn my camera bag
Canon 7d Mk 2,canon 1dx bodies, canon 500mm and 200-400 mm lenses and a 1.4 x extenderFeedback
You have to be out there and learn to understand animal behaviour if the animals you are photographing so you can predict what they will do so you can be ready when they do it
