I spent a warm summer day at the lake with my Golden Retrievers. After a lovely picnic and looking forward to the sunset we walked down to this lovely meadow. The sun lit the area for me and the Goldens were longing for another swim as they gazed at the lake.

This photo was taken at Lake Quinault in Washington state.Time
I usually end up here by the time the sun is getting ready to start the golden hour. My two beautiful golden retrievers really glow in this magical light.Lighting
The sun never disappoints me here at Lake Quinault and it was an exceptional light the day I captured my photo.Equipment
I took my photo with a Nikon D750, Nikon 24-70mm f2.8 lens. I handheld my camera and didn't need a flash.Inspiration
I'm always looking for a nice backdrop for taking photos of my golden retrievers. I frequently end up at Lake Quinault so the dogs can swim all day and by the time they start to dry off the sun is lowering on the horizon. Lake Quinault is one of the most scenic lakes here in Washington and would recommend anyone to visit it.Editing
I used LR as my post-processing tool. I cropped, raised highlights and decreased shadows, clarified a little, increased saturation and sharpening. In my camera bag
I carry a Lowepro bag with a Nikon D750, Nikon 85 f1.4, 24-70 f2.8, and a 70-200 f4 lens. Extra battery, flash, SD cards,and lens cleaner.Feedback
