Location
At a small municipal water reservoir just up the road from where I live in Queenstown, South AfricaTime
Really early in the morning, a breeze started to blow and it created a thick blanket of mist as it hit the cold water of the dam.Lighting
It wasn't a planned shot, I was busy fishing and when the mist rolled in I happened to see the tree behind me as well as the sun just peeking over the mountain behind that and thought it looked quite good......Equipment
I only had my cell phone with me Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge..... Took the photograph whilst sitting in my car using the open window to keep it steady.....Inspiration
I had never had the opportunity to take photographs in such thick mist so it seemed like a good moment to give it a shot......Editing
Hardly any actually, just cropped it and 1 or 2 small adjustments on an editor on my cell phone. In my camera bag
IF I'm carrying my camera, a Nikon D5300 with a variety of lenses and filters, or sometimes my Canon SX50HS if I want something easier to carry around with me.........Feedback
Look sometimes you just have to be in the right place at the right time. But when you are in that place and you don't have a decent camera with you, you have to improvise with what you have available.
