An old Gum Tree, dead but still majestic stands alone in the retreating Lake Dumbleyung near Wagin, Western Australia. This Lake was where the late Sir Donald Campbell broke the World Water Speed Record in 1964. He is the only person to have claimed both the Water and Land Speed Records.

I captured the same tree from a different angle at night as well as day... dusk, before it flooded... Four days later I got to see it full. this tree to my surprise was almost totally under water.
