Behind The Lens

Location

We were up on Benchlands Trail in Canmore, AB after a rainstorm looking out across the valley.

Time

It was probably mid-afternoon.

Lighting

I love how the sun is still hitting the peak even with how cloudy it was.

Equipment

This was with my first camera which was a Canon T5 and it was taken with the kit lens 75-300mm. No filters.

Inspiration

I was playing with my zoom lens and came across this view. There's just something so powerful about the peak poking through the clouds.

Editing

This image is not edited at all.

In my camera bag

I now carry my trusty Canon 6D with my Tamron 24-70mm f2.8 as well as my 50mm f1.8. I usually have a couple other lenses but the Tamron and Canon are my go to.

Feedback

Sometimes you have to look where you least expect it. The peak of this mountain didn't look all that interesting until I zoomed right in on it.
