Behind The Lens

Location

In my father’s house, it was important that he feels comfortable for the shooting.

Time

During afternoon.

Lighting

I’ve used one flash with a round softbox, white surroundings to soften the light and a black background.

Equipment

Canon EOS 5D Mark III, Canon 50mm 1:1.2 L, Canon Speedlite 600 EX-RT

Inspiration

It’s my father so it was quite natural that I would ask him for a shooting earlier or later.

Editing

I’ve made changes especially to contrast, shadows and blacks. It is also important that his blue eyes stand out on the image and therefore i’ve regulated the saturation.

In my camera bag

DSLR + 2 lenses + tripod + battery pack + ND and GND filters + remote shutter

Feedback

With elder people it’s better to take a short shooting. Have already a picture in the head and do some testing before will help to reach the goals quicker.
