Behind The Lens

Location

I took this B&W picture at my cousin brother's wedding which was held in Bihar, India. It was in the year 2017. It was a banquet hall with beautifully decorated entrance as shown in the picture.

Time

It was taken at midnight time. Indian weddings usually happen in the late evening and lasts longer due to various ceremonies before final wedding session.

Lighting

The light strips, chandeliers and small color flood lights were installed for decoration purpose. Because of this, my picture came out perfect and I decided to take this shot in B&W mode.

Equipment

I used my smartphone Micromax A069. I only used B&W filter and nothing else. This smartphone didn't even have "tap to auto-focus" or any focus system, so I make my hands steady to click good images. And this picture turned perfect for me.

Inspiration

I usually do not travel outside of Mumbai, India. But, my cousin brother's wedding was held at that time in Bihar, India, so I decided to travel with my mom. Since I have passion for photography, I click images that attract my eyes. Also, since the wedding planner had beautifully decorated the event places, that attracted my eyes. So, this inspired me to take various shots from which I uploaded this and few more images on Viewbug.com

Editing

I only enabled B&W filter to take this beautiful picture. That is it, nothing else was used to enhance this image. I usually don't use any software to do post-processing work. As I said, I only click photos that attract my eyes.

In my camera bag

Previously, I had my smartphone Micromax A069 which gave me some of the beautiful shots I ever took. Now, I have my smartphone Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 which I am using to take more shots to upload on Viewbug.com

Feedback

Try to capture images of objects and places that attract your eyes. If you have a smartphone, then use steady hands and "tap to focus" system. And if you have a DSLR or Mirrorless Camera, then use tripod to avoid shake and distortion. Always try to use filters because one image might express itself in one filter and might not look good without any filter. There is always room for improvement in Photography.
