While living in the mountains of Ethiopia I was treated to innumerable delicious home cooked meals. The generosity of the families I worked with was immeasurable. Not a single holiday was allowed to go by without a massive family celebration. And not once did I stumble away from said celebrations without a moonshine-induced swagger, meat sweats, and a belly strained with inhuman portions of injera. Certainly a formative experience I'll always hold dear.
This is a pic taken during just such a feast - Ngdasso's son trying out my sunglasses with his favorite track suit while his mother works magic over the cooking fire behind him.
