This is a total departure from what I normally photograph. I have been enjoying creating these dark and moody male portraits. As a high school senior photographer, my clients are typically darling senior girls. But I have wanting to go beyond that and stretch my lighting techniques. The last 6 months was very dark for me and I was very depressed due to a well needed spinal surgery I had in December. Finally feeling better and more creative, I think this portrait reflects a little bit how I was feeling on the inside. Sometimes you just have to push yourself. Get out of your comfort zone and create something completely different.

well done, I have a darker side I want to explore too, it would be a big departure from what I normally do. I just wouldn't want to bring darkness to others, just light. What are your thoughts about that?
