Across a river pool I saw the dappled sunlight projected onto the rocky bank. Now, for my story perhaps i did not need this image, except to show the sheer beauty of this mostly unnoticed place, of nature within the roar of traffic overhead, but sometimes we need to make an image, it draws us to it, and we do our best by it.
