A tornado strikes Elk City, OK May 16th 2017. Here you can see the storm that produced the tornado and the damage it left. We arrived shortly after a strong "wedge" tornado struck the town of Elk City, OK on May 16th 2017 in the evening. We were some of the first ones on the scene and EMS was taking control of the scene. The smell of natural gas and chaos-confusion meant that something big had happen. We went over power lines, which had been tossed over the road from the tornado to offer our help to the firefighters going through debris and said they had control of the scene. We therefore picked up our camera and started documenting what we were seeing. This picture shows the storm moving east and where the tornado reached peak intensity.
