Location

This was a plant I spotted by the roadside in Fira, Santorini

Time

It was early afternoon and the sun was high.

Lighting

I shot in RAW and looked to slightly underexpose the picture so it was not bleached, but knew I could make adjustments when I processed it.

Equipment

I used my Nikon D3300 with its

Inspiration

Something about the shapes and colours caught my eye. Sometimes you just know when it will make a good shot.

Editing

I use DxO Photolab to make some small adjustments (such as a little cropping) and corrections when developing the RAW file. This is passed to Affinity Photo with Topaz Labs filters for finishing such as vignetting.

In my camera bag

I have the Nikon D3300 with 18-55 and 55-200 lens along with a 35mm prime lens. I always carry 5 charged batteries.
