Beautiful shot!

Behind The Lens

Location

This was photographed on the Big Island of Hawaii.

Time

This was taken a few hours before sunset. The Pueo or the Hawaiian short-eared owl will be found sitting on the post.

Lighting

Lighting was natural. Lots of clouds and fog to diffuse the light.

Equipment

Sony A7ii with Sony 70-400mm G Lens with LA-EA4 Adapter

Inspiration

I’d seen photos of Pueo and I always wanted to photograph it.

Editing

Yes, A little bit of clarity and bringing out the shadows.

In my camera bag

Sony A7ii, 18mm batis, 24-70mm, and 70-400mm

Feedback

Be patient and don’t scare these owls. They are already timid so give them space.
