Location
This was taken in Old San Juan Puerto Rico on the outer walls of the fort.Time
We were docked for the day so it would have been around midday.Lighting
It was harsh sunlight, but this was an opportune shot rather than a planned shoot.Equipment
I use an Olympus Omd e-m1 and usually on a day trip like this, I would stick to the 12-40mm Pro lens as it has good versatility when you don’t necessarily know what you are going to be capturing that day. I placed the camera on the wall for steadiness.Inspiration
I just loved the composition of the old wall, the sea and the iguana.Editing
I use Lightroom for my editing. I changed the colour temperature to my taste for this shot and added a slight vignette. In my camera bag
For a day trip such as this I usually take spare batteries and memory cards. I would take a 45mm prime and a 40mm-150mm Pro along with the 12-40mm pro lens attached to the camera. I also carry a gorilla pod and a flash just in case.Feedback
With animals all I can advise is to have patience as you cannot direct them. I probably took over 50 shots of this Iguana.
