It was bright but the clouds did difuse the light a little and reflect on the wet sand

Equipment

My trusty old Canon Eos1200D with its stock lens, nothing fancy. Hand held no tripod.

Inspiration

It felt like a classic english beach shot, fishing boats and a nice long pier. But the best part was the lack of people, other than the fishermen and their boats it was just me, the wife and my camera.

Editing

100% of my images are processed in photoshop, mainly to add colours and textures using a combination of multple layers to create the look and feel that I am happy with. In this case in this case using the fliter gallery, camera raw and masking.

In my camera bag

Today i still carry my 1200D, but now manily use a EFS 18-135mm or a Tamron SP 70-200 along with a ND filter, Zomei tripod and cable release.

Feedback

Many of my earlier images were spontanteous and unplanned. This is great fun as you never know what you will end up with. But now I mostly plan a series of images based on knowledge of the area Im visiting and will go with a specfic style in mind, such as my recent visit to Patterdale to capture autumn trees.
