The trail has two entrances, they both take you to the waterfall. Loop trail A & B. 3 miles roughly. The trails are marked moderate to strenuous but are actually pretty mild-moderate. The view from the hill sides are spectacular as you descend into the falls basin. The wind coming off the falls is mesmerizing and refreshing. The best time to see this beauty is early in the morning. The trail has a parking area around milepost 339 on the Blueridge parkway. The visitor center there is permanently closed now, but I think the campground opens May-October.
