Location
This photograph was taken in Saint Laurent le Minier, a village in the south of France. This is the Vis waterfall.Time
It was the end of the day, the sun was starting to go down behind the trees. I wanted to capture him before he passed behind the hills.Lighting
I love to photograph at the end of the day, I find this magical moment. Light is more and more difficult to capture. This is why I use neutral density filters, polarizing and a degraded filter.Equipment
At the time I was shooting with my 6D cannon and the 16-35mm f4 cannon lens. The tripod was a manfrotto 290 Xtra and for the rest a filter from the NiSi brand.Inspiration
I love to photograph this waterfall because it is the closest to my home. In addition, it is very well known by the people of the region. In addition I love to do long exposure, suddenly this place is a real nugget for the photographer.Editing
I am using lightroom to unclog the shadows and modify the curve. I avoid saturating the colors and highlight the texture of the water by playing on the clarity. In my camera bag
Currently I travel a lot and the weight becomes more and more restrictive. When I am at home I use my Nikon D850 or my Z6 and the 16-35mm f4 from Nikkor. For the trip I go light with my Fuji XT2 and an 18-135mm WRFeedback
This photo is unique because without this little girl we would not be able to realize the size of the waterfall. I find it important for people to realize to integrate a person from time to time so that people can see the greatness of nature.
