Location
This photo was taken in my dad's backyard. I'm an amateur photographer who loves close-up nature shots.Time
I remember taking this shot in mid morning as I strolled the yard looking for wildflowers.Lighting
The sun was particularly bright and I knew it was my best opportunity to get as much detail as possible.Equipment
I used my Kodak Pixpro while lying on my chest and resting on my elbows.Inspiration
I was inspired to take this shot because of the beauty and simplicity of a tiny purple crocus. Once I'd taken the shot I noticed so much detail.Editing
I enhanced the color a touch and cropped the photo to center the flower and zoom in on details. In my camera bag
Today I use a Nikon D3500 with tripod or free hand. I keep a 200mm zoom lens in my bag to go along with my 35mm lens. I also carry a sun filter, hood, and extra color filters.Feedback
To get a shot with all the detail, you really have to get down on the ground for a side shot of a crocus.
