The photo was taken in the desert of Morocco. If you ask me the exact place, I will not be satisfied because it was 3 days that we were traveling in the middle of the most varied landscapes with the guide.Time
The photo was taken around 6 PM on March 29, 2017. The sun began to set on the dunes and stood out the human figures walking in nothingness in the middle with lights and shadows of the evening.Lighting
Taken in natural light without using freehand filters. The light was already beautiful naturally.Equipment
In this case I used my Nikon D5 equipped with Nikkor 70-200 f2.8 with a focal length of 200mm. Shutter speed 1/1250; iso 200; f 5; spot detection. Freehand shooting.Inspiration
I was attracted by this image that documents the smallness of man with respect to the nature that surrounds us. This almost lunar and desert landscape with these people running through it almost lost nothing. I was struck by this walking where there are no roads but with the distinct feeling that they knew well where they were going. The light of the sunset that cut like a knife the sand then gave the final touch to this beautiful image that I placed before my eyes and that I tried to represent the bestEditing
I simply developed the raw file by slightly increasing the contrasts and the saturation of the lights. Initially I also increased the saturation and certainly the photo would have been in May color effect. I then returned to the right setting because (mindful of the memory I had of reality) I wanted to reproduce an image in a picture and not in an image. Sometimes the image can be nice but it can also be false. And so I wanted to behave. In the end I increased the definition and the outlines of the subjects with Photoshop a little bit.In my camera bag
Normally in my bag (except for having to take specific photos that require other equipment) there are now two camera bodies composed of Nikon D5 and Nikon D850. The photographic lens that are always with me are: Nikkor 14-24; 24-70; 70-200 (all e f 2.8) and 85 f1.4Feedback
There are no particular tips to give to take similar pictures. It's definitely better to use a zoom (I used the 200mm focal length) in order to make the image that is represented flat. One piece of advice that I can give is to post-produce the photo after a short time that has been taken. This is because the one that has excited you and led you to take it clear is still clear in your mind. The clearer it is and the better you can touch up the image that has regretted the SLR. Just because I had clear colors and image, I developed the photo in real hand as I wrote above.
