Birders with their long lens' are up early on the east coast of Vancouver island to greet the return of Brant geese. I considered cropping off the figure on the right, tidier somehow, but decided that framing can include not only the main subject but also indicate what is outside the frame, in this case the birds extend beyond the frame, the watchers are looking at them arriving, so the image indicates the main theme better as is. Something I have never settled to my satisfaction is whether dark, grainy, blurred images like this one are any good. Now, this is a close replica of the original dark indistinct scene, it reads correctly, but then again are smooth, well lighted, sharp images the ideal regardless. I dunno. :)
