View from the rock observation building at the top of Gates Pass. A narrow road was etched through this rugged landscape in 1883 allowing traffic to travel from east to west. Gates Pass is located in the Rincon Mountains near Tucson Arizona. The Rincon Mountains are protected as the Saguaro National Park. It was established in 1933.
