I really like this shot of Watson Lake! I like the reflections, clouds in the sky and clarity of the boulders. I found Watson Lake difficult to photograph. kudos to you!

Location
The image was captured near the city of Prescott Arizona. Watson Lake is the water shed for the the city and is surrounded by a Arizona State Recreation Area.Time
It was early in the morning, between 0700 and 0800 hours (Arizona Time).Lighting
I was facing in a northwest direction. I waited until the sun rose over the mountains located east of this location. I waited until there was sufficient light to enhance the lake and the surrounding landscape. Just a few two-legged humans were exploring the area. It was just me and the native animals and birds in attendance. Sorry, no dinosaurs.Equipment
I used an INDURO tripod to stabilize my Canon EOS 60D DSLR. The lens was a Canon EF 24mm to 105mm lens with a UV filter. Since I used a tripod, the auto focus was turned on and the len's image stabilizer was turned off.Inspiration
The landscape surrounding this lake is unique. Since it was my first time exploring the lake, I just went with whatever the landscape and light would provide me.Editing
The only editing I performed on the image was to add a minor improvement to the image's clarity. The light, shadows, and colors were ideal, as captured.In my camera bag
I carry extra batteries for my battery grip. I also carry a monopod or a tripod depending on where I am and how far I plan on hiking. I also carry a flash with extra batteries.Feedback
During the previous 24 months I'd been using a circular polarizing lens filter on my lens. However, during a photography class the instructor indicated he does not use filters of any kind on his lens. Why filter away metadata, he said? As a result, now, I only place a UV filter on my lens to protect the optics. I believe I get better results.
