Location
I took this photo in Turkey in the forest between Cayeli and Rize. This waterfall is hidden from the tourists. Its pretty raw and undiscovered place.Time
We were looking for this waterfall for the whole day, and after a long trip between many hills we have finally found this piece of beauty. It was the sunset time.Lighting
This sunset was unforgettable. It was a perfect mixture of beautiful view of a waterfall and sun going through clouds. All of the colours looked like pure magic. It was this one perfect moment that I need to capture.Equipment
I used Canon 5D mark II and Canon 16-35 f/2.8 with tripod. I have also used ND filter.Inspiration
I was inspired by this particular moment. During my journey I was carying all my equipement with me so I was prepaired for this kind of situation.Editing
This image is created from 3 exposures. I really wanted to sky remain still without any motion. To create effect of perfect still water I used another lond exposure. I edited RAW files in Capture One and composed in Photoshop. In my camera bag
In that time I was carrying a tripod, Canon 5D Mark II, Lumix LX100, Tokina 16-28, Canon 16-35, Canon 50mm 1.8, Canon 135mm 2.0 L, Sigma 85mm 1.4, Canon 24-70 f/2.8 L, two speedlights and some different less important stuff like a cleaning wipes.Feedback
As I said before - you need to be prepaired for the moment. I am carrying my camera everywhere I go. If I could not carry my first camera, I have always my second one - Lumix LX100. To create this kind of shot you need the right time and place and... a tripod or a place where your camera could lay still without any movements to create this water effect!
