Location
This photo was taken at Clearwater Beach Pier 60, Florida, USA.Time
The time of day was in the late morning if I remember correctly.Lighting
The lighting was outdoors natural sunlight. It was a beautiful day.Equipment
I used a point and shoot GE X450 camera that came with me everywhere! I have a neck strap on it and take plenty of rechargeable batteries in case I need to replace batteries as I love taking many photos when I get to go on such beautiful outtings...Inspiration
I anticipate nature photo opportunities whenever I go to a nature spot! This day was on a pier that extended well into the waters of the Gulf of Mexico in Florida. As fishermen and tourists walk to the end of the pier, wild birds line the posts and wall as you walk out. I believe this photo is a large heron, possibly a Great Blue Heron. The bird remained in this position for a very long time as if to pose for me with character. I enjoyed the position of the bird and the opportunity nature provided for me to experience the grace given by this beautiful bird! lolEditing
This photo is 100% natural with no editIn my camera bag
I use a neck strap, wrist strap, and always an extra set of rechargeable batteries. The camera has a cap over the lense and I do not put it in a holder because I take many many photos the entire time I go out, trying to capture something unique.Feedback
Always be ready for opportunity to present itself. I was taught a few basics in photography several years ago and one was to leave nature show itself. So, I do none to extreme little editing on most all my photos. And most of all, enjoy what you are photographing! If it makes you feel joy within then I feel it is the heart within calling you to shoot... have fun!
